Mrs Sharon Mellors
Headteacher
I started as headteacher of Loxwood in September 2024 and feel very proud and privileged to hold the role. Loxwood School is all about community and kindness, learning and fun. It is a happy place to work.
Mr Philip Bellas
Chair of Governors, Local Authority Governor, Safeguarding Governor
I have worked in education for over 30 years as a technology teacher and senior leader for school effectiveness.
I have been a staff governor and have several years experience as a primary school governor prior to joining the board at Loxwood school. I believe that every child should get the very best education we can offer and it is my aim to help with that ideal.
Mr Peter Foy
Vice Chair & Co-opted Governor
I have over 15 years’ experience in school leadership, with a background in business and operations across mainstream and specialist settings. I bring expertise in finance, estates, HR, and governance, and hold the NPQEL. I am committed to helping schools run smoothly and sustainably, creating the right conditions for every child to flourish, fulfil their potential, and leave school with confidence and ambition.
Miss Daisy Price
Deputy Head & SENDCO - Associate Governor
I have been an Associate Governor at Loxwood Primary School since September 2024, having previously served as Staff Governor for two years. I have worked at the school for 16 years in a range of progressive roles and currently serve as Deputy Headteacher and SENDCO.
Alongside my professional role, I also have a strong personal connection to the school, having had two children attend Loxwood Primary School — one historically and one currently.
I bring a strong passion for inclusion and education, with a clear commitment to ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their best and are well prepared for life beyond primary school. Inclusive practice and high-quality provision for all learners are central to my work.
I am passionate about sport and wellbeing and enjoy engaging with both the school and the wider community to enhance the educational experience for every child. My goal is to contribute to Loxwood Primary School’s continued growth, success and strong sense of community.
Mr Bryn Brooker
Parent Governor
I moved from Godalming to Loxwood in 2012 and have three children, two who are attending Loxwood Primary.
Having grown up in a similar small village in Kent, I am keen to ensure Loxwood offers the very best opportunities for local children, grows the community and becomes a leading example to others.
I studied Geography at University in Swansea and joined Nextbase as a Marketing Manager in 2006. I now head up the marketing department for this rapidly growing global dash cam brand and I hope to share my expertise with the school. I head up the product marketing as well as being the Road Safety Ambassador for the brand.
I'm looking forward to supporting the school and its leadership as it thrives and grows to deliver the highest level of education.
Miss Gina Wright
Staff Governor - Elected by the school staff
I joined Loxwood Primary School in September 2022 as the Year 6 teacher, bringing a passion for education and a commitment to pupil development. I completed my PGCE at the University of Chichester, following an undergraduate degree in Music and Musical Theatre. At Loxwood Primary School, I lead computing and Eco Club, fostering creativity and environmental awareness among pupils.
As a new member of the board of governors, I am dedicated to supporting the school's leadership team during this period of change and opportunity. I am enthusiastic about engaging with the school and the wider community to enhance the educational experience for all pupils. My goal is to contribute to Loxwood Primary School's continued growth and success.
Mr Danny Quant
Co-opted Governor
I am a semi-retired pensions/investment actuary. I live with my wife in Cranleigh. I spend my time variously between freelance work, setting the investment exam for the Institute of Actuaries twice a year and teaching maths as a volunteer at a local women’s prison (also playing a bit of golf and weeding our garden).
I have been a governor previously: at the school in Kuala Lumpur where our boys attended while we lived in Malaysia.
While we lived in various places abroad I was on Council of the Hong Kong Actuarial Society (President in 1995), I was deputy chair of the Malaysian Actuarial Society (2002 to 2005) and sat on the Singapore Actuarial Society Council (2012 to 2019).
Upon returning from overseas, I was elected as a Council member of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries from 2020 to 2024. I am currently on the Professional Affairs & Education Committee of the Worhsipful Company of Actuaries (as a Liveryman, I am also a Freeman of the City of London).
We first moved to Cranleigh in 2005 and enjoy all that Surrey life has to offer while being a stone’s throw to London where our three grown up boys now live and work.
