Rowan Class - Year 3

We hope you had a fantastic Easter Holidays and are feeling refreshed and ready for an exciting new termOn this page, you will find information about what we are learning throughout the year, along with important dates and helpful resources.

Summer Term Learning: Let It Grow

This summer term, we will be diving into our exciting topic 'Let It Grow'. Throughout the term, we will explore the wonderful world of plants and pollinators, with a particular focus on bees. As scientists, we will investigate how plants grow and survive, learning about the different parts of a plant and the important role each part plays in keeping it healthy. As geography learners, we will look into bee conservation, understanding why these small creatures are an important part of our environment and how we can help bees in our local area. Below you can find out more information on what we will be covering this term.

Maths Homework

Every fortnight, children in Year 3 will be set one unit of Learning by Questions homework to complete at home. This gives the children an opportunity to develop their mathematical understanding. Maths homework will be set every other Friday and children will have two weeks to complete it.

The website can be accessed at: https://www.lbq.org/login

Below is a step-by-step guide to support children accessing and completing their homework. If your child does not have access to suitable technology at home to complete this homework, please speak to Miss Malins, who will be more than happy to support and make appropriate arrangements.
