We hope you had a fantastic Summer Holiday and you are feeling refreshed and ready for an exciting new year! On this page, you will find information about what we are learning throughout the year, along with important dates and helpful resources.
Autumn Term Learning
Our topic web details all of the exciting learning coming up this term.
Maths Homework
Every fortnight, children in Year 3 will be set one unit of Learning by Questions homework to complete at home. This gives them an opportunity to develop their mathematical understanding. Maths homework will be set every other Friday and children will have two weeks to complete it.
The website can be accessed at: https://www.lbq.org/login
Below is a step-by-step guide to support children accessing and completing their homework. If your child does not have access to suitable technology at home to complete this homework, please speak to Miss Booker, who will be more than happy to support and make appropriate arrangements.
Homework Grid
Homework is an important part of your child’s learning journey and helps to reinforce what we do in class. Any completed homework will be shared and celebrated in class. Take a look at our Homework Grid for a choice of optional tasks your child can choose to do at home.
- Encourage your child to read at home – aim for at least 3 times a week.
- Ask vocabulary, retrieval and inference questions about the book.
