KS2 Autumn House Matches 2024

Despite the particularly chilly conditions, the weather was on our side, allowing us to proceed with the Autumn House Matches as planned. We were thrilled to see such a fabulous turnout from parents, whose support for the children was truly commendable. All Key Stage 2 pupils represented their houses in either hockey or football, showcasing the skills they have acquired during their PE lessons with Mr Green this term. A special mention goes to the Year 3 students, who participated in their first round of House Matches; although this can be slightly intimidating, they all engaged enthusiastically.

Additionally, this event presented the first opportunity of the year to fully utilise our new House Captains and Sports Leaders. The House Captains effectively managed their teams, striving to maintain fairness and balance. Meanwhile, the Sports Leaders diligently undertook various roles, including timekeeping, scoring, and referring the games; their performance improved significantly as the matches progressed. Overall, the event was a resounding success, demonstrating the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship within our school community.
